Our Story

We met through a mutual friend in 2017 and we love to tell the story of how we were unsure of one another and after Carlyn’s 27th birthday trip to Knysna, became inseparable. For seven years, we’ve had many adventures together, from climbing mountains, learning how to scuba dive, finding Jenny and Lily and starting a new life in the Netherlands. Our biggest adventure awaits and we are so excited to start this new chapter of our lives.

I followed Carlyn from Cape Town to Enschede in 2021.  I thought Cape Town was my whole world until we moved here. Imagine how shallow my life would have been without her.

Journey

On the Day

We're getting married at city hall in Enschede with a small group of witnesses and will go for dinner in Amsterdam afterwards to celebrate

Ceremony

The ceremony will take place at Enschede's City hall with Deiondre, Julia and Liezl as our witnesses. This will be a small ceremony with an officiant from Enschede's municipality to marry us.

Pictures

We'll take pictures at Villa Zonnebeek and the city hall where will get married. Yulia will be taking pictures at both venues.

Dinner

We will host a small group of friends for dinner as a small token of our appreciation for their involvement on the day. The name of the restaurant is De Kas, a vegan and vegetarian fine dining restaurant.

Stay Over

We're staying over in Amsterdam for the evening and would like to have brunch with anyone who is able to make it on the 9th.
